The FCC requires that all customer premise telecom equipment (FCC Part 15) and network attached telecom equipment (FCC Part 68) to be sold in the U.S. must meet minimum compliance standards. FCC Part 15 requires emissions testing to prevent harmful radio interference, while FCC Part 68 testing is designed to prevent basic harms-to-the-network such as hazardous voltages.

To ensure that customer premise equipment (CPE) does not emit harmful frequencies, we offer electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing facilities and experts around the world. Many of our facilities feature Outdoor Area Test Sites (OATS) and anechoic chambers.
For FCC Part 68 compliance, we test for basic harms-to-the-network, including:
- Hazardous voltage and current tests
- Signal power limitations
- Balance specifications
- Lightning surge and drop test
- AC & DC on-hook impedance requirements
