Oregon/USA - proved Practical Quantification Limits to 5 New High Priority Chemicals of Concern in Children Products

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has announced on its official website that the Practical Quantification Limits (PQLs) for five newly listed High Priority Chemicals of Concern for children’s products have been approved as proposed, effective 1 January 2019. The reporting list of (HPCCCH) will be amended to 68 chemicals. This law primarily protect used in the producteds for children under 12 years of age.

Children’s products offered for sale in Oregon, if the product contains a High Priority Chemical of Concern for Health that is intentionally added at or above the PQL,or are present as contaminants above 100 parts per million, manufacturers/importers shall follow the chemical disclosure requirements under the rules of Toxic Free Kids Act (OAR 333-016).

The following proposed PQL are to be added in Exhibit A referenced in (OAR 333-016-2035):
